DEMONSTRATE TRUE LOVE

DEMONSTRATE TRUE LOVE

“Oh Lord, give me Love enough in this wicked world, without your Love, I cant bear it. Please, give me more of your Love, kindness, Joy, Self control, Forgiveness, Patience, Tolerance..in Jesus name, Amen”. Galatians 5:22-23

the love of God“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” (John 13:35 New Living Translation Bible)This is indeed a powerful truth. The way you treat another Christian brother or sister is proof enough of your love for God. How do you treat other Christians? Do your relationships with them prove that you indeed love God?

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death. (1 John 3:14 New International Version)

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. (1 John 4:20 New International Version)

And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. (2 John 1:5 New International Version)

Can other Christians testify of your love for them? Do you help others to get better or do you finish them off with criticism devoid of love? Do not be a church inspector, demonstrate God’s love which is at work in you. Show love to everyone and let them know that Jesus is indeed the same yesterday today and forever! Just in case you were wrongly thinking you are to love Christians only and hate other people, read Matthew 22:36-40 below.

Matthew 22:36-40 (New King James Version)36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Love your neighbour as yourself. Jesus told us clearly that your neighbour is everyone you meet regardless of whether they are Christian or not (Luke 10:25-37). Your neighbour includes your enemies and you must love them too. Luke 6:27-28 Jesus said “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”

Note: the love of God gives us the ability to forgive those who trespassed against us.

God forgives Us each and every time we go back to Him in a sincere repentance.
